Updating your BlackBerry® smartphone software is easy and free!
If you are using BlackBerry® Internet Solution™, you can upgrade your BlackBerry smartphone software through any PC without installing Desktop Manager. Complete the upgrade process in just a few clicks.

Procedures for the upgrade

1.	Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to the PC via USB cable and enter http://www.blackberry.com/upgrades in the Internet browser
2.	Click "Check for Updates" on the webpage
3.	When there is a system prompt, click "Run"
4.	Click "Run" again when you receive another system prompt
5.	Choose the software version that you want to upgrade to, and click "Next"
6.	Click "Option"
7.	Choose the language you want to install from "Language and input support", and click "Next"
8.	When asked if you want to receive notices for available updates, choose "Not at this time", and then click "Next"
9.	Click "Finish" and the upgrade is complete.

Minimum requirements for upgrading the device software via Internet

1.	A desktop computer with administrator rights and Internet access.
2.	Device software version 4.5 or above on your BlackBerry smartphone.
3.	Only applicable to BlackBerry Internet Solution users.

Please note: Until the update is complete, you will not be able to use your BlackBerry smartphone. Should you unplug the device or cancel the update process before completion, your smartphone may be unusable and you may need to restart the update process to regain use of your device.
