The standard dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) scheme has been revised as of March 2007. Now DST begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. Where, as previously, DST began on the first Sunday in April and ended on the last Sunday in October. This is an optional patch; however, it is advised for those who travel to DST affected timezones to install the patch as to avoid unnecessary problems.

Possible Impact of DST 2007 Changes on BlackBerry® users
When the DST dates change in March 2007, BlackBerry® devices without the DST patch not update their clocks according to the new DST scheme. As a result, the BlackBerry® device might not display correct timezone information for certain time periods during the year. This may also affect calender or appointment requests since the requests from DST countries may appear to be delayed or fast by 1 hour. For details, please click here.
